About us
"Growing up during and after a violent civil war, we were always working towards making life a little easier for the people of our country."

Tammy Loverdos
Tammy Loverdos was born and raised in Zimbabwe, where she worked to raise funds and support a womens' co-operative to obtain sewing machines and develop their cottage industry. Tammy got to know these women and their families, and learnt about their difficulties and challenges, especially regarding literacy and health. Tammy has been involved with HIV/AIDS awareness programs, small business development and fund-raising initiatives for various non-profits working towards alleviating poverty and strengthening sustainable development.
Tammy spent a number of years in Cambodia where she she met the Stung Treng Women's Development Center. So impressed by the work of this NGO, she founded Fair Fabric in the USA to continue her committment to helping women in post-conflict countries.
Tammy is a firm believer that change can happen, one step at a time. She continues to work towards her dream of expanding Fair Fabric to help the women of Zimbabwe and other African countries - she is currently sourcing products from Southern Africa.
On behalf of Fair Fabric and the women involved, we would like to thank you for your support.
